Erasmus+ is an EU program that supports education, training, youth, and sport in Europe. Under this program, the University of Jaén supports teaching and training periods at higher education institutions (HEIs) abroad for researchers. The objectives of mobility within the Erasmus framework are to provide teaching staff with opportunities for personal and professional development, to expand and enrich the courses taught in universities, to promote the exchange of pedagogical and technical knowledge and experiences between institutions from different countries, to learn from the experiences and good practices of other institutions, and to establish lasting academic cooperation.
Last week, one of our members, João Gabriel Bessa, had the opportunity to visit the Santa Catarina Federal University at the Fotovoltaica UFSC Laboratory in Florianópolis, Brazil. He had the opportunity to strengthen the cooperation between both universities, discussing common research lines and also giving a talk entitled ‘Fundamentals of Soiling’. We are looking forward to continuing our discussions and collaborations with Brazil.
Thanks to Prof. Ricardo Ruther, Dr. Aline Kirsten, and Marilia Braga for having João with you.
