The International Energy Agency (IEA PVPS – Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme) has published its report “Dual Land Use for Agriculture and Solar Power Production: Overview and Performance of Agrivoltaic Systems”, which provides a detailed analysis of agrivoltaic systems, exploring their technical performance, modeling approaches, and operational challenges.
This report serves as a comprehensive guide to improving efficiency and ensuring transparent, reproducible results for agrivoltaic installations worldwide.
Our Advances in Photovoltaic Technology (AdPVTech) group from University of Jaén has played a key role in the development of this report, alongside other researchers. Dr. Álvaro Fernández Solas, researcher at the German Aerospace Center, Institute of Solar Research, and co-affiliated with our group in this research, is one of the main authors in the development of this report. Also, Dr. Eduardo F. Fernández, head of AdPVTech, participated as a contributing author.
