The University of Jaen is celebrating the second edition of “AOVE & Science”, an initiative that brings together scientific outreach and one of Jaén’s greatest treasures: extra virgin olive oil.
In collaboration with the San Vicente de Mogón Cooperative, a limited edition of 30,000 bottles has been produced — each featuring information and a QR code linking to videos about seven research projects from the University of Jaén (https://www.ujaen.es/servicios/ucc/aove-ciencia-2025).
Among them is PowerforEarth, one of the projects we’re developing at Advances in Photovoltaic Technology (AdPVTech):
🔬 “Wide-bandgap III-V photovoltaic materials for high-power optical transmission to Earth,” led by Dr. Eduardo F. Fernández and Dr. Florencia Almonacid Cruz.
