Last week, part of our team had the opportunity to participate in the National Space Forum (NaFSKI-VI), organized by Branch Cosmos in Sofia, Bulgaria.

It was an inspiring event that brought together a wide range of experts, researchers, and innovators from different fields of space science.

In particular, our work was presented in two talks:

● Alvaro Valera Albacete with “Development and Characterization of a High-Power Optical Transmission (HPOT) System”, discussed the theoretical design and experimental testing of an HPOT system developed in our facilities.

● Manuel Peralta Fuentes with “Band-gap PV matetial investigation for HPOT in Planets and Satellites of the Solar System”, explored the atmospheres of planets and satellites and photovoltaic conversion models to identify the most efficient materials for HPOT in each body.

Overall, the forum provided a fantastic opportunity to share our research and connect with the European space research community.

We’re proud to keep pushing the boundaries of space energy technologies! 🚀

These works are part of the project PowerforEarth, grant PID2023-147898OB-I00 founded by MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033/ and by ERDF A way of making Europe and the project RePowerSiC.
