Project accepted!
We are pleased to announce that the project “Greenhouse Living-lab Agrivoltaic Systems in Spain (GLASS)” has been awarded to us. This project is coordinated by our group AdPVTech, together with our consortium formed by the research institute IMIDA – Instituto Murciano de Investigación y Desarrollo Agrario y Medioambiental and the company J. Huete International.
GLASS was submitted to the call “Proyectos de I+D+i en Líneas Estratégicas” 2022, within the Plan Estatal de Investigación Científica y Técnica y de Innovación 2021-2023, and funded by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación and the AGENCIA ESTATAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN (AEI).
The objective of the call for R&D&I projects in strategic lines is to support industrial research projects carried out in cooperation between companies and R&D agents, both public and private, to respond to the challenges identified in the thematic priorities. The project is framed within the thematic area of development and integration of photovoltaic applications for agriculture.
This project aims to develop a new type of agrivoltaic systems (APV) for greenhouses, designed to increase the performance and competitiveness of agriculture. The objective is to propose an APV greenhouse system suitable for large-scale implementation in order to promote the transition towards more sustainable energy and agricultural sectors.
